Dear Parents and Carers,
Cultural Capital Day, Thursday 28th March 2024
As part of our commitment to providing enriching experiences for our students, we are delighted to announce our first Cultural Capital Day at Leigh Academy Bexley on Thursday 28th March 2024.
Year 8 and 9 will embark on an exciting journey to one of the following destinations which will ignite a passion for discovery and exploration. The free trip destinations are: Imperial War Museum; Tate Modern; The National Maritime museum; the Queen’s house (Greenwich); The Design Museum; The National Portrait Gallery; The Stratford Olympic Park; or a paid trip visiting Thorpe Park (£38.00); London Dungeon (£23.50); HMS Belfast (£12.00) or Bexley Stables (£20.00). Please select your first, second and third choices through this link Cultural Capital Selection.
Please note that students who are under a sanction (suspension or Pastoral Centre), who are identified as having a high proportion of negative behaviour points or severely persistently absent will not be eligible for our first Cultural Capital Day. Pupil premium pupils will be eligible for 50% funding for our paid trips and this will be applied once allocation has been made.
If you require any financial assistance then please do contact us by emailing info@labexley.org.uk and we will do everything we can to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to attend the trip they wish.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us on info@labexley.org.uk.
Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to this exciting event approaching.
Yours faithfully
Mr H Morgan | Deputy Head of Holkham College
