Leigh Academy Bexley would like to congratulate all students on their fantastic exam results.
A-Levels
The humanities subjects were the best performing across our A levels. Our single student in politics recorded an A*, whilst history and sociology attained APS 30+, equivalent to a grade C.
Vocational Qualifications
Vocational business recorded excellent results with all students enrolled on the Extended Certificate achieving Distinction to Pass grades. Financial studies recorded excellent results with all students enrolled on the Diploma achieving A to D grades. ICT and sport recorded excellent results with all students passing with Distinction to Pass grades.
Destinations
At the time of writing 55% of the cohort have been accepted to university or degree level apprenticeships. We are delighted to report that of those accepted to university, 14% will attend a Russell Group university.
We anticipate university acceptances to increase as students who are yet to confirm places consider their options.
Individual student successes of note are detailed below:
- Sukhmani: A*A*A* in politics, history and maths. Sukhmani has accepted her place to read politics at King’s College London;
- Sydney: BBB in maths, sociology and criminology. Sydney has accepted her place to read maths at Queen Mary University of London;
- Ebony: BBB in psychology, sociology and criminology. Ebony has accepted her place to study nursing at King’s College London;
- Lorena: CCC in history, psychology and sociology. Lorena (left in photo) has accepted her place to read psychology at the University of Westminster;
- Lucy: CCC in psychology, sociology and criminology. Lucy has accepted her place to study primary education (with QTS) at University of Greenwich;
- Oralee: CCC. Oralee has accepted her place to study child nursing at City University London; and
- Efo: A, Distinction, Merit and is taking a gap year before applying to university next year.
