Our philosophy is for students to leave with all doors open. We will support our students along their desired pathway beyond sixth form but encourage them to be ambitious for themselves and regardless of their desired pathway they leave prepared for higher education, vocational training or employment.

Our curriculum is designed to support this. Students will study 3 subjects from a broad academic and vocational offer. Alongside this, they will have opportunities to develop key soft skills through extra-curricular activities that will be embedded into their timetable alongside their examinable subjects.

We have a dedicated careers team who work with all our students in supporting their future aspirations. We provide an extensive UCAS guidance programme to support students in their choice of University and courses, as well as guidance for apprenticeships and employment.

As a sixth form student at Leigh Academy Bexley you will be a role model for the Key Stage 3 and 4 student body. You will have opportunities to be involved in shaping Academy life through student voice, supporting the extra curricular programme or acting as mentors for the Academy’s students.

We are passionate about creating opportunities for young people and supporting them through this crucial stage of life, preparing for adulthood and reaching potential. If you would like more information, please feel free to contact us to arrange a tour and meet Sixth Form staff and students or visit our website.

Mr C Dillon | Deputy Principal

Leigh Academy Bexley is a Candidate School* for the Careers Programme [IBCP]. The school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy — a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that Leigh Academy Rainham believes is important for our students.

*Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme, or the Career-related Programme (CP). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted. For further information about the IB and its programmes, visit www.ibo.org
