Dear Parents/Carers,
Year 11 Trip to Rose Bruford College of Speech & Drama for Btec Production Students Tuesday 14th October 2025.
We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for students who are specialising in Technical and Design Production roles as part of their Component 2 unit in the BTEC Tech Awards in Performing Arts.
Your child is invited to attend a visit to the Technical Department at Rose Bruford College, a leading institution for theatre and performance training. During this visit, students will:
● Take part in a backstage tour of the college’s professional theatre spaces;
● Watch a live rehearsal in progress;
● Interview current students who are specialising in areas such as costume, lighting, sound, and set design/construction.
This experience will provide valuable insight into real-world technical theatre practice and support your child’s development in their chosen specialism.
On Tuesday 14th October the students will meet in the Drama Studio at 11.45 am. We will take the 229 bus to Sidcup and walk to Rose Bruford from there. The visit will run from 12.30pm to 2.30pm. We will take the 229 bus to return to school by 3.15pm.
If your child is entitled to a free school meal, this will be provided in the form of a packed lunch by the school. The travel will be free with their Oyster Zip Cards.
