Module 2 Staffing Update
We wanted to update you on recent staffing changes at the Academy as we continue our improvement journey.
Following a rigorous interview process of three strong internal candidates, supported by Simon Beamish (Leigh Academies Trust CEO) and Tracey Trusler (Leigh Academies Trust Academies Director – West), Mr Dillon has been appointed as Deputy Principal at Leigh Academy Bexley with effect from Monday 18th November. He joins our recently appointed new staff, who are:
At the start of the 2024-205 academic year, two of our former Cover Supervisors, Miss Diallo and Miss Karikari began teacher training with Kent and Medway Teacher Training in Modern Foreign Languages and Social Sciences respectively. We wish them all the best as they begin their teaching careers.
We are delighted to inform you that we have also promoted both Miss Pearson and Miss Green from their College Administrator roles to Student Support Managers within their college teams. They are enjoying their new pastoral role supporting our students whilst also helping the newly appointed College Administrators who step into their previous jobs.
Starting in January we welcome back Mrs Aggrey-Solomon to the Director of Learning Business & Finance role, some of you may remember her from a few years ago. Mrs Aggrey-Solomon was impressed with the significant changes in the Academy when she came for her interview.
We are also looking forward to welcoming Ms Ihezie in January 2025 who joins us as Lead Practitioner in Maths. Ms Ihezie will also have a whole Academy responsibility for Behaviour/Culture.
